Bill Split Calculator

Live Demo: Bill Split Calculator Live Demo

Bill Split Calculator is a simple and effective web application designed to make splitting bills a breeze. This user-friendly tool eliminates the need for manual calculations, allowing you to effortlessly divide expenses among friends or colleagues. With its intuitive interface and straightforward functionality, the Bill Split Calculator streamlines the process of sharing costs, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

Calculator and Preview Mode

The Bill Split Calculator seamlessly transitions between calculator mode and preview mode. Upon opening the page, users enter calculator mode to input details such as person names, meal choices, prices, and quantities. Once all information is entered, the calculator automatically generates a preview of the split bill. Interestingly, if a query string is present in the URL, the page automatically switches to preview mode. Users can easily switch back to calculator mode from a hidden button.

Table and Tools

The calculator employs a well-structured table to input data efficiently. Users can enter the names of each person involved, their chosen meals, the price of each meal, and the quantity. This organized approach simplifies the process of tracking individual expenses.

Misc Options

Beyond meal details, the Bill Split Calculator provides additional fields for essential information. Users can specify the restaurant name or title, the date of the meal, a service charge or tip amount, the recipient of payment, and any additional notes or details.

Merge URL

When the URL length reaches its maximum limit of 2000 characters, the "Magic Mushroom" option comes into play. This feature automatically merges person's meals into a single entry, effectively shortening the URL and preventing it from exceeding the limit.
