Bounce & Burst is a complete, ready-to-sell HTML5 endless runner built entirely in vanilla HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript — no engine, no build step, no external libraries. Open index.html directly, or upload the folder to any host, and it runs. Bounce Players tap to bounce through a glowing crystal skyline, timing jumps over hurdles, threading narrow gates, and collecting gems to build combo streaks. A layered parallax background (blurred distant mountains, a lit-window skyline, and scrolling foreground detail) adds real depth without a single external image file. Bounce Every visual — icons, HUD, particle effects — is hand-drawn in code, so there are no image files or icon packs to license. The display font is loaded from Google Fonts via a CSS import, which requires an internet connection to fetch; without one, the browser falls back to a default system font and the game still runs normally. How to Play Bounce Tap or click anywhere to jump. Collect gems for points, avoid hurdles, thread the gates, and grab shields to absorb one hit — one miss ends the run. Core Gameplay Bounce One-tap controls — the entire skill curve comes from timing a single tap. 3 hurdle types to react to: Spikes — single hazards, cleared with a quick hop. The Wall — the tallest hurdle in the game. It spans most of the jump arc, so it needs a fuller, earlier jump than a spike, with less margin for error. Gems — collect for points; chaining them without a miss builds a rising combo multiplier. Shield pickups — absorb the next hit, with a warning flash before they expire. Gates — narrow pillar gaps that reward precise jump timing. Close-call bonus — clearing a hurdle by a hair triggers a bonus and an on-screen callout. 3 difficulty levels (Easy / Normal / Hard), each independently tuned for spawn rate, hazard mix, and top speed. Progression & Replayability Local Top-5 leaderboard with gold/silver/bronze markers for the top three runs. 6 missions, each with 3 tiers, tracked automatically — combo streaks, gem totals, survival time, and score milestones. Achievement toast notifications the moment a tier unlocks. Persistent save data (best score, leaderboard, mission progress, theme, difficulty, sound state) via localStorage. Visual Presentation Two selectable themes — Sunset and Neon — swapped live from Settings, no reload needed. Layered parallax background for real depth on a portrait canvas. 100% code-drawn visuals — no image files, no icon packs, nothing to license.
