Payment Method Fee is a powerful OpenCart extension that allows you to set custom fees for specific payment methods on your store. This gives you granular control over transaction costs, enabling you to incentivize preferred payment options or adjust fees based on various factors.

What does it do?

The Payment Method Fee extension empowers you to configure different fees for each payment method available on your OpenCart store. This flexibility allows you to:

• Promote preferred payment methods: Charge lower fees for preferred payment gateways to encourage their use.
• Adjust fees based on transaction value: Implement tiered fee structures based on order amounts.
• Offset processing costs: Increase fees for certain payment methods to cover higher processing charges.
• Transparency and control: Clearly communicate fees to customers at checkout, enhancing transparency and trust.

How to install it?

Installing the Payment Method Fee extension is straightforward:

1. Upload the zip file: Navigate to Extensions > Installer in your OpenCart admin panel and upload the downloaded zip file.

2. Install the extension: Go to Extensions > Extensions > Order Totals (from the dropdown) and click "Install" next to the Payment Method Fee extension.

3. Configure the extension: After installation, click "Edit" next to the Payment Method Fee extension and configure it according to your needs.

4. Grant user permissions: Ensure the appropriate user groups have access to the Payment Method Fee extension by going to Systems > Users > User Groups.

Notes

I have not tested the extension for other than specified OpenCart versions, however I would be happy to help anyone integrate it in an older/newer version. Feel free to contact me!
